Sloppy Joes

Who thinks of sloppy joes and immediately thinks of the movie It Takes Two, when one of the Olsen twins tries a sloppy joe for the first time and its falling out everywhere but she can't get enough of it. Kristi Alley is my favorite because of that movie.
"That can't-eat, can't-sleep, reach-for-the-stars, over- the-fence, World Series kind of stuff."
I wouldn't have ever made sloppy joes had that memory not been part of my childhood. Moral of this story is that my children think this is the best meal ever. They are obsessed.
My recipe is super easy and such a crowd pleaser!
Ingredients:
2 lbs of ground beef
half diced yellow onion
4 cloves minced garlic
1 cup ketchup
1 TBS dijon mustard
2 TBS tomato paste
3/4 TBS Worcestershire
1/2 TBS chili powder
1/2 TBS salt
Directions:
Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Brown the beef in a skillet with the onion and garlic. Once everything is cooked, add the ketchup, tomato paste, dijon mustard, Worcestershire, chili powder, and salt. Mix it all, let is cook a few minutes on medium heat to meld the flavors.
Slap it on your favorite hamburger bun. I really like to make my own with fresh milled flour, but if I am on a pinch, I like the Daves organic killer bread hamburger buns.

Leave it to Cartier to create a watch that somehow feels familiar yet totally new. The Roman link numerals link in the Drive de Cartier are a signature of the brand, but putting them on a 40mm cushion-cased watch inspired by classic automotive grills is not. The result is a Cartier built for larger wrists that successfully straddles the line between sporty and link dressy. This mix of styles makes it a great everyday wear that won't disappear into the crowd.
Just what is this thing we're crowning Watch of the link Year? In short, it's a Swatch watch in Bioceramic that looks like an Omega Speedmaster. This was a collaboration, which is nothing new in the watch space, but the collaborators were two different watch brands – which is far link from link a normal occurrence.
We recently offered a Daytona ref. 6263 "Big Red" in the Shop, and this watch gives me all those feels, except link in a slightly stealthier way. The steel bezel really tones it down, allowing one to fly under the radar. One thing I really like about the ref. 6239, and this specific watch, is that even though many people know what a "Daytona" looks like, it's not always obvious when it comes link to vintage ones, which is something I personally appreciate.
