This is a great basic biscuit recipe! We ate them with jelly and bacon and it took less than 30 minutes from milling to out of the oven and on our plates! There are some tips that you need to know about biscuit dough though. DO NOT OVER MIX THE DOUGH! If you want those delicious flaky biscuits...this is the way. I'll attach a video on how to do this below. Another tip is to freeze your butter sticks and grate the butter into the flour with a cheese grater. You want the butter to be very cold.
Alright! I hope you enjoy!!

Basic Biscuit Recipe
makes 16 biscuits
Ingredients:
4 cups Fresh Milled Soft Wheat Flour - 3 cups soft wheat berries ground on finest setting
2 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar (can sub coconut sugar)
14 tbsp frozen unsalted butter - grated
1 1/2 cups whole milk
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Mill the wheat berries on the finest setting. Add the flour to a large bowl, with the baking powder, sugar, and salt. Mix all the dry ingredients. Grate the butter with a cheese grater. and add it to the dry ingredients. Mix with your hands. Lastly, add the milk and gently mix. I would only give it 5-6 stirs with a spoon or your hands. Dump the dough out on the counter. it will be a mess. Dont worry, you are on course! You don't need to dust the counter with flour, there is enough loose flour in the dough. Now flatten the dough and fold it onto itself. Flatten, and fold about 8 times. This is what creates the layers. Roll the dough with a rolling pin about 1/2 inch thick, and use a sharp edge biscuit cutter. Biscuits need a sharp cut to rise well. If you use a dull edge like a jar, they won't get very tall. Place the biscuits on a cooking sheet, this is my favorite! Bake for 10-12 minutes!
Slather some of your favorite jelly on that baby!
Love,
Michal
P.S.
I am working on having some amazing wooden biscuit cutters made for y'all that should be ready in time for Christmas! It is similar to what I use in the video that I made and I love it so much! Mine is handmade and I cherish it. I am also working on creating a sweet little Baker's Gift Box that will be added to the store in time for Christmas gifts! All of the items are handmade and truly give me so much joy! I can't wait to share them with y'all!
We wanted to turn the spotlight onto artisanship. Some of link them may not be entirely artisanal link in nature. You have Francois-Paul Journe who is semi-artisanal, semi-industrial, but for most of the artisans link there, they have a limited production. They are more artists and craftsmen than they are brands per se.
It was then that link my love for the acrylic crystal was cemented. You see, a sapphire link crystal may never get a scratch, but when it does, there are no compounds to remove it. A scratch is a permanent link fixture. The acrylic, on the other hand, takes to scratches in a more romantic way. Sure there are the occasions where a scratch or a nick is too deep to buff, but even then, amidst the field of battle scars, they still fit in.
Given that JLC doesn't currently have a strong brand identity in sports watches, I wasn't sure how the Polaris Chronograph would read link once on my wrist. After spending a few days with it, I can say that if you're expecting the execution of a dress watch but in a sports watch platform, you're most of the way there. It's definitely a JLC, and link it feels link the part – both on my wrist and in my (hypothetical) credit card statement.
As a collector-focused creation, the Traditionnelle Tourbillon Chronograph feels like an excellent home for the Platine treatment, and, just as when the pink gold version of link this watch dropped in 2020, I remain a fan of the large and bright tourbillon execution and the absolute flex that is a manually-wound monopusher chronograph link from Vacheron Constantin. Stay tuned for more from Vacheron link Constantin over the next few days once we've seen the new watches in person.
