Quay’s Very Favorite Spaghetti

Sharing a little piece of our family today. My kids love to cook and be in the kitchen with me. They don’t have school on Fridays, so we use that day as a personal enrichment day. That can be the farm, cooking lessons, needle work lessons, art projects, or studying for tests. I try to balance their interests but also include skill building for their future. Each Friday that we are home, they take turns cooking a meal for the family. They get to choose the meal they want to learn to make. But it’s a one on one instruction for them to learn every element of the meal. My son made tacos last week and that included the taco meat, frying the corn tortillas in olive oil, making the refried beans and chopping all the toppings. Anyways this has been super fun to teach them some basic meals! We filmed my daughter last week because she is an entertaining gal. So enjoy that lol. You can also show your kids and I bet it will encourage them to also want to make things and help in the kitchen! Sometimes they just need to see someone else do it to spur some confidence to try it!
