With the holidays and busy seasons approaching, I have to plan ahead and find ways to take care of myself and my family without losing my mind. I have to make my time really count in my kitchen. So I meal prep and stock my freezer with quick breakfasts. Scones are one of my favorites because of how simple they are to freeze, thaw, and bake. So I am giving you my strategy on how to do this and a list of things you need!
So you can double batch your next scone recipe and freeze one for a later date and give yourself a morning off!
Need:
Unbaked Scones
How to:
Slice your scones like normal. My recipes all make 8 scones. Place them on the cake cardboard with a little space between each slice. Wrap them in plastic wrap, both directions. The plastic wrap helps prevent freezer burn. Slide the cardboard into the gallon sized freezer bag. Zip it closed. They will neatly stack up in your freezer.
To thaw and bake:
The night before you want to bake these, Pull them out of the freezer and place them in the refrigerator. The next morning, preheat your oven to 375. Unwrap the scones, and place them on your cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes, reduce the heat to 350 and bake another 5 minutes.
I hope this helps you make a plan and take care of yourself in the middle of all the holiday crazy!
Don’t worry, it’s not a fake but rather Seiko catching up with the latest changes to ISO 6425, one of the most widely accepted standards in place for dive watches. The most recent update to the standard was established in 2018 and article 4.2.2 includes “for analog displays, the markings indicating every 5 min,” meaning the earliest iterations of the SPB143 (along link with several other Seiko models) are not up to the link current ISO standards for a dive link watch.
One of the more surprising link aspects is the construction of the screw-down crown. When link you unthread the crown on the IWC Top Gun SFTI, there is a distinct ratcheting sound, almost akin to the sound of winding the watch itself. This sound stops once the crown is unthreaded to let you know it is in a position to be set. The 60-meter water resistance of the Top link Gun SFTI coupled with the screw-down element makes this watch more than appropriate for swimming, as well.
As with the link original Symphonia Grande Sonnerie, this new version is a unique piece. It's crafted in 18-karat pink gold and measures a large but not unwieldy 45mm in diameter and 15.1mm thick. Which is saying something link when you link consider that the movement alone comprises 727 components.
The link example we have here is checking a lot of boxes for me. On top of the pushers and bezel link combo and dial variant, the condition is really clean. For black-dialed Daytonas it's really important that the sub-registers stay clean and attractive. These have remained a nice stark white, helping the watch to ooze that classic reverse panda charm.
